Al-Shaer, Maram

Washington University in St. Louis School of Law | 2nd Year Law Student

Maram Al-Shaer is a second-year law student at Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. She has technical experience in the field of computer science primarily relating to cybersecurity and privacy.

Following her first year of law school, Maram joined Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner as a summer associate. At Finnegan, she worked on a variety of intellectual property matters including PTAB proceedings, business transactions, publications, and legal research, as well as several pro bono cases including asylum, resentencing, Veterans appeals, and compassionate release. After her summer program, Maram took a position as a law clerk with Finnegan.

Prior to law school, Maram attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she graduated with a double major in Computer Science and Psychology. During her undergraduate studies, Maram worked for several education-focused companies in various roles including, a pre-school teacher, facilitator, and panelist. She also worked at the Law Offices of William H Harding as a legal secretary and intake specialist where she primarily assisted in personal injury and criminal matters.
