  • 2024 Annual Meeting
    From October 24-26, over 1,500 IP professionals from around the world gathered at the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor, MD, for an incredible three-day experience filled with CLE panels, committee meetings, expanded skills workshops, and networking events. Attendees enjoyed a range of receptions, including those focused on diversity and new members, as well as an exciting opening night.
  • 2024 Spring Meeting
    This year's Spring Meeting brought together over 500 intellectual property practitioners from around the globe in Austin, TX, the live music capital of the world, for three days of education, networking, and connection. Attendees explored topics such as the IP of Music, Emerging Issues at the Intersection of Patents, Trademarks, Design Rights, and Artificial Intelligence. A panel of judges shared invaluable insights on what they wish they had known as IP practitioners, and updates were provided by the USPTO Texas Regional Office Director. The event also featured lively gatherings, including the First-Time Attendee/New Member Reception, Diversity Reception, and more!
  • 2023 Annual Meeting
    This year's Annual Meeting saw over 1,400 IP practitioners from around the world gather for three days of CLE and networking. #aiplaAM23 boasted a diverse lineup of engaging sessions, interactive discussions, and numerous networking opportunities. Our program explored the latest developments, emerging trends, and critical issues shaping the IP world, from ethical implications of Artificial Intelligence in research and development, to discussions on trademarks and the First Amendment, Standard Essential Patents licensing, PTAB, Section 101, transformative fair use following the recent Warhol v. Goldsmith decision, and more!
  • 2023 Spring Meeting
    Over 400 intellectual property practitioners joined AIPLA in Seattle for the 2023 Spring Meeting for three days of CLE, networking, and celebration. We were joined by USPTO Director Kathi Vidal, who addressed a wide range of issues from the recent ANPRM and harmonization, to DOCX, the patent Pro Bono Program, and more. Executive Vice President and General Counsel for the Seattle Kraken, Lance Lopes, and former Vice President and Chief Litigation Counsel at Apple, Noreen Krall, were our keynote luncheon speakers. Our top-notch CLE sessions covered hot topics in IP, including diversity in the wine industry, fair use in filmmaking, non-competition covenants in the age of remote and hybrid work, trademark and the use of AI tools, and more.
  • 2023 Mid-Winter Institute
    From January 31 – February 3, nearly 350 patent practitioners from around the world joined AIPLA in San Diego for the 2023 Mid-Winter Institute. This Meeting celebrated all things health and wellness in the world of IP. #aiplaMW23 featured an innovative new plenary-only format, introduced the first-of-its-kind Trial Courtyard, and provided the usual high-quality CLE and ample networking and social opportunities.
  • 2022 Annual Meeting
    From October 27 - 29, 2022, over 1,400 intellectual property practitioners from around the world, more than 65 speakers, and over 20 exhibitors joined AIPLA at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD for the 2022 Annual Meeting. After two years, it was a pleasure being fully back in person, not only to receive the usual high-quality CLE and networking opportunities, but to also celebrate AIPLA's 125th Anniversary!
  • AIPLA-AM21-eBulletinThumb 2021 Annual Meeting
    From October 28 - 30, 2021, hundreds of intellectual property practitioners from around the world converged on the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD for the first-ever hybrid AIPLA stated meeting, the 2021 Annual Meeting. Hundreds more attendees joined the event virtually, receiving the same learning and networking opportunities as their in-person counterparts. More than 60 unique speakers were hosted across 34 events and sessions, including hybrid networking events and interactive exhibitor experiences. The 2021 Annual Meeting reminded IP practitioners near and far that this event is indeed ‘Where the IP World Meets.’
  • AIPLA-SM21-eBulletin-cover 2021 Virtual Spring Meeting
    From May 10 – 14, 2021, hundreds of intellectual property practitioners from across the globe converged electronically at the AIPLA 2021 Virtual Spring Meeting. Boasting more than 26 timely and informative sessions, the 2021 Virtual Spring Meeting hosted more than 60 prestigious and honored speakers. Daily networking events and trade show hours allowed for face-to-face interaction and empowered the Association to continue ‘Keeping the AIPLA Community Connected.’
