Mr. Daniels heads the firm’s litigation group, where he handles litigation matters in district courts and at the International Trade Commission. Mr. Daniels also counsels clients by providing infringement and validity opinions, as well as guiding clients’ strategies using post-grant tools such as inter partes review and reexamination.
Mr. Daniels is also the primary author of WHDA’s USPTO Litigation Alert blog, which covers post-grant proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is often cited, referenced or quoted by publications such as Bloomberg, Reuters, IP360, Patently-O, Docket Navigator, and Foss Patents. He is also a frequent lecturer and author on USPTO post-grant and ITC issues.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Daniels was an Attorney in the General Counsel’s Office of the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Mr. Daniels is also member of a number of organizations, professional and otherwise, including AIPLA, the Materials Research Society, American Chemical Society, the U.S. Chess Federation, and The Wodehouse Society.
