Gwin, H. Sanders

H. Sanders Gwin is a principal in the firm Shumaker & Sieffert P.A. in St. Paul, Minnesota.   Mr. Gwin counsels clients on patent prosecution, opinion, due diligence and transactional matters in technologies such as chemical and materials, optics, medical devices and computer hardware and software.  He was a principal in the Twin Cities office of Fish & Richardson from 2000-2005, Senior Intellectual Property Counsel at 3M, St. Paul, Minnesota, from 1994-1999, and served as a law clerk in the chambers of Senior Circuit Judge Edward S. Smith, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, from 1989-1990.  Mr. Gwin was an Adjunct Professor of Law at William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, from 1998 to 2010, where he taught courses relating to patent prosecution and intellectual property law.
