Hawkins, Brent A.

Brent A. Hawkins is the Managing Partner of the San Francisco office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.  Brent A. Hawkins has more than 25 years of experience litigating intellectual property and other complex commercial disputes for clients in jurisdictions throughout the United States. Throughout his career, Brent has served as lead counsel in patent, trademark, copyright, and complex commercial licensing litigations. Brent has experience across a variety of sectors and industries, with a particular focus on the technology, automotive, and consumer product sectors.   

Brent also is a co-leader of the firm’s cross-practice Automotive & Mobility Industry team and serves on the firmwide Diversity & Inclusion Committee.  Brent was formerly a leader of the firm’s Black Lawyer Network and First Generation Lawyer Network. He received his B.S. Engineering from the University of Michigan and his J.D from the University of Illinois College of Law.
