Khan, Sikander
Flagship Patents | Founder
Sikander Khan is the founder of Flagship Patents—a patenting lab in Palo Alto that specializes in building full-stack AI patent portfolios spanning software, hardware, bioinformatics, and medical devices. He believes in describing an AI invention two levels deeper than what has been the norm for patent applications. His patent applications emphasize writing that is technically meticulous, with scope aligned with the clients’ current business goals and desired market positions. His experience includes embedding with AI teams of market leaders like Salesforce and Illumina and developing their AI patent portfolios from inception. He also works with the hottest AI startups in the Valley like SambaNova, Normalyze, and SafeGraph. Sikander’s background in computer engineering allows him to work on both software AI models and hardware AI chips. Sikander works closely with European attorneys who too specialize in AI inventions and has significant experience in drafting and prosecuting applications that got expeditiously granted both in the US and in Europe. Sikander is an avid reader of AI publications and codes deep learning models in TensorFlow and PyTorch. Sikander did his engineering at SUNY Buffalo and went to Santa Clara for law school.
