Equifax | Assistant General Counsel

Elizabeth Lester is Assistant General Counsel, Intellectual Property at Equifax, where she is responsible for managing the domestic and international IP portfolio and ensuring that the IP strategy is aligned with business strategies. Prior to Equifax, Elizabeth worked for nearly a decade in private practice focusing on patent preparation and prosecution, portfolio management, and IP issues in business transactions. 

Elizabeth is an active proponent of diversity initiatives, including adoption and implementation of The Diversity Pledge at Equifax as one of its founding members. She is a recognized leader in the IP profession, recently completing her term as President for the Association of Corporate Patent Counsel, and now serving as Co-Chair of the recently renamed Engagement and Accessibility Pillar (formerly the Diversity & Inclusion Pillar) for the US Intellectual Property Alliance. 

Elizabeth is consistently recognized by the IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists, was a finalist for Chambers DEI Awards: North America 2022, received the 2017 Corporate Counsel Award for Specialist Counsel Award from the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Association of Corporate Counsel Georgia Chapter, and the 2014 Intellectual Property Community Service Award from the State Bar of Georgia and Atlanta Bar Association.

Elizabeth enjoys time with her family, watching her daughter grow and blossom into a beautiful young woman, and anything Disney or Mickey Mouse.
