Ricardo Moran is a registered patent attorney practicing intellectual property law with an emphasis on small-molecule pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals and their formulations; imaging agents; and materials science. Dr. Moran’s practice focuses on chemical and pharmaceutical intellectual property law, including pharmaceutical patent litigation; preparation and prosecution of patent applications; infringement, validity, patentability, and due diligence analyses and opinions; and counseling of clients in a wide range of aspects of intellectual property law. Ricardo received his B.S. in chemistry (1991) from Allegheny College; his M.S. in organic chemistry (1993) from Emory University; his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park (1997); and his law degree (J.D., 2005) from the American University Washington College of Law. After receiving his Ph.D., he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Moran is an author of several peer-reviewed scientific publications, and his professional association memberships include the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the New Jersey Intellectual Property Law Association (NJIPLA). Dr. Moran is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia, Minnesota, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
