Adam Mossoff is a law professor at Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University. He teaches a wide range of courses, including patent law, trade secrets, trademark law, property, and remedies, and he has published extensively on topics in property and intellectual property law, innovation policy, and tech policy. Professor Mossoff’s research has been relied on by the Supreme Court, by the Federal Circuit, and by the UPSTO and other federal agencies. He has been invited five times to testify before the Senate and the House of Representatives on patent policy and proposed legislation. His writings on intellectual property policy have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Forbes, and in other media.
Professor Mossoff is a Senior Fellow and Chair of the Forum for Intellectual Property at the Hudson Institute, a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for IP Understanding, and a Visiting IP Fellow at the Heritage Foundation. He is a member of the Intellectual Property Rights Policy Advisory Group of ANSI, the Intellectual Property Committee of the IEEE-USA, and the Academic Advisory Committee of the Copyright Alliance. He has served as past Chair and Vice-Chair of the IP Committee of the IEEE-USA.
