David Poticha is the Head of Legal for Biodesix, Inc., a Boulder, Colorado based company focused on lung disease diagnostics, in particular COVID and lung cancer. While with Biodesix David has been the sole attorney during 2 acquisitions, 5 product launches and in October of 2020 a successful IPO. He has managed the entire intellectual property estate and been responsible for all transactional deal flow between Biodesix and its corporate and academic partners. Prior to coming to Biodesix David was an attorney with Greenberg Traurig in the patent practice, spent 9 years at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in the Technology Transfer Office focused on negotiating deals between the University and industry partners, and was the patent and transactional attorney for Myogen Pharmaceuticals where he also handled the licenses and deals between the company and its corporate and University partners. David achieved his law degree and was a member of the Law Review at the University of Colorado School of Law, obtained his Master’s of Science in Microbiology (with an emphasis in infectious diseases) at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and received his Bachelor’s of Science (magna cum laude) from the University of California Los Angeles.
