Schmid, Amy

Amy Schmid is a partner at Wenderoth, and co-chair of the chemical, biotechnology and pharmaceutical group.  Prior to joining Wenderoth in 2004, Amy was a Patent Examiner at the USPTO, handling applications in the Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry Technology Center.   Amy’s practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications, managing and prosecuting applications within worldwide portfolios, and assisting foreign clients with obtaining patent protection in the US.  Amy also counsels clients regarding portfolio strategy and management, and formulates validity, infringement and freedom-to-operate opinions.  In her free time, Amy enjoys playing the piano, singing, and spending time outdoors with her family.
