Swint, Kate

Kate is an associate at Pirkey Barber PLLC in Austin, where her practice focuses on trademark and copyright law. She advises clients, from start-ups to multinational corporations, on a wide range of issues, including trademark clearance and registration, trademark disputes, use of intellectual property on the internet, and copyright issues. She was also an adjunct professor of copyright law at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio for several years. Kate received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she served on the editorial board of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law. She earned a B.B.A. in Marketing and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Kate is licensed to practice law in Texas and Georgia.
