In her role as director of legal recruiting and diversity, Lauren Tapper works with firm leadership to develop and implement Kramer Levin’s strategic recruiting and diversity initiatives.

Lauren leads the firm’s lawyer recruitment efforts, including lateral and first-year associate hiring, as well as the summer associate program. Her work also involves collaborating on the successful onboarding of all new lawyers, strategizing and implementing policies and programs addressing retention issues, and assisting on aspects of counsel and associate relations.

Lauren also leads the firm’s diversity initiatives, ensuring that Kramer Levin’s core commitment to diversity and inclusion plays an integral role in overall business strategy. Working closely with the Diversity, Women’s Initiative and Hiring committees and other firm leaders, she develops strategies and programs that foster a more diverse and inclusive work environment, and that enhance the recruitment, retention and advancement of lawyers of racial and ethnic minority groups, women lawyers, LGBT lawyers, and those with disabilities.

Lauren has more than 20 years of experience in strategic and operational human resources in the legal, financial and business environments.
