Donald Ware is a partner and co-chair of the IP Litigation Group in the Boston office of Foley Hoag LLP.   His practice focuses on patent litigation, licensing, and counseling. Don has decades of experience in life sciences patent and inventorship disputes, in which he represents global biopharmaceutical companies, universities, and research institutions.  He also represents universities and their licensees in Bayh-Dole matters, including Bayh-Dole march-in proceedings. Don has been lead counsel in numerous high profile biotech patent cases, including Dana Farber Cancer Institute v. Ono Pharmaceutical, In re Columbia University Patent Litigation, Max Planck Institute v. Whitehead Institute, Enzo Biochem v. GenProbe, and Johns Hopkins v. CellPro. Last year, Don was named LMG Life Sciences’ General Patent Litigator of the Year—New England.
