James A. Worth was appointed as an Administrative Patent Judge on May 19, 2014, and he is currently serving as an Acting Vice Chief Administrative Patent Judge. Judge Worth earned his law degree from the New York University School of Law. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the Yale College. Judge Worth served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Pauline Newman, Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He continued his public service as a Special Assistant United States Attorney with the United States Attorney’s Office at the Eastern District of Virginia. Prior to joining the Board, Judge Worth served as a General Attorney at the United States International Trade Commission.
