• Yaquinto, Giulio

  Pirkey Barber | Attorney

  Giulio Yaquinto practices trademark, copyright, and unfair competition law. He represents clients in federal courts across the country and at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He also devotes a significant portion of his practice to policing infringements and developing enforcement strategies. Giulio has experience in all stages of litigation, from the filing of pleadings through trial and appeal. He regularly authors winning briefs in federal district courts, and recently obtained a reversal for a client in a published decision from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He has also obtained favorable judgements for clients in proceedings at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and domain-name disputes at the National Arbitration Forum. In addition to litigation, Giulio advises clients on strategies to enforce their rights without resorting to a lawsuit, particularly in the online context.

Andrea advises clients on brand selection and clearance efforts and has extensive experience prosecuting applications before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the US Copyright Office. She also handles a broad range of intellectual property-focused transactional matters, including the negotiation of licenses, co-branding agreements, assignments and acquisitions, as well as diligence reviews and troubleshooting intellectual property issues in connection with corporate mergers and acquisitions.

  Tayah is an Associate with Seed IP. She focuses her practice on IP defense, enforcement, and litigation matters, with a focus on trademark and copyright matters. She has experience with drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions in intellectual property, unfair trade practices, and business disputes. She also has experiences prosecuting and managing trademark and copyright portfolios.   Laurie Young is an intellectual property attorney with Schwegman, Lundberg and Woessner. Before joining SLW, she was Senior Intellectual Property Counsel Katun Corporation. While at Katun she managed all intellectual property matters, both domestic and foreign. This included managing patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret matters and any business matters which may relate to intellectual property. Laurie was also Data Privacy Officer for Katun Corporation. Before joining PayPal, Susan was Senior Counsel, Trademarks and Copyrights for Coinbase, Inc., the leading cryptocurrency exchange platform. At Coinbase, she managed and led the global trademark/copyright programs and its NFT marketplace IP compliance program. Before Coinbase, Susan was Trademark counsel at Amazon, where she supported and managed the trademark portfolios for Amazon’s private label brands, retail website, Amazon Pay, Whole Foods, and Audible.
